Level A2 – Elementary: Course Content

This course is tailored for learners who have a foundational understanding of Italian and want to expand their skills for everyday situations and conversations.

Key Objectives:

• Build on basic vocabulary with topics such as shopping, transportation, weather, hobbies, and daily routines.
• Develop the ability to handle simple interactions in common social and practical situations (e.g., ordering food, asking for directions, buying tickets).
• Understand and use frequently used expressions related to areas of immediate relevance.
• Strengthen grammar knowledge, including:
  • Present continuous tense and simple past tense (passato prossimo).
  • Introduction to reflexive verbs and their usage.
  • Comparative and superlative adjectives.
  • Pronouns (direct and indirect object pronouns).
• Improve listening comprehension with short dialogues and audio exercises.
• Practice writing short paragraphs (e.g., a postcard, email, or diary entry).

Teaching Methods:

• Role-playing and simulated scenarios to practice conversational skills.
• Exercises focused on reading comprehension with simple texts.
