ITALIAN LANGUAGE COURSES TYPES
STANDARD GROUP COURSE
This course is the best solution for students willing to share with other students, of different nationalities, an experience of Italian language, focusing on grammar and conversation. Classes are normally held everyday from Monday to Friday, 4 hours a day. In each group there are from 3 to 12 students. The most common ability levels are 6, according to the Assessment Grid of the European Language Portfolio (ELP/CEF: Common European Framework of Reference for Languages): Beginner (A1), Elementary (A2); Intermediate (B1); Upper Intermediate (B2); Advanced (C1); Proficient (C2) (some schools could use different names, but the CEF codes – A1, A2, etc…- are the same).
INTENSIVE COURSE
This course (sometimes called “combined course”) is designed for the student willing to intensify Italian language learning and consists in the combination between a standard group course in the morning and an individual or a group course in the afternoon. Usually, classes are held everyday from Monday to Friday, 6 hours a day.
INDIVIDUAL COURSE
This course is tailor-made to the specific needs and interests of the student. Thanks to the intensive and personalized lessons, this type of course allows quick progress. Timetable and schedules are flexible. Courses are offered at any levels.
HOMESTAY COURSE
This kind of course offers the chance to work intensively in a full-immersion setting, at the same time allowing the participants to live together and share their experience closely with the teacher. In fact, students will live on a half or full-board basis in the teacher’s private residence. Courses are offered at any levels.
PROFESSIONAL COURSE
For those who want to achieve specific language skills in order to be fluent in Italian in their job, there is the chance to take a professional course, either individual or in group, in several fields: Italian for tourism, for business and commerce, for law, for architecture, for opera, for medicine, for fashion, …
