There is no better way to learn Italian that to live in Italy. Immersion language studies have been proven to be the most successful and fast way to become proficient in language learning. To learn Italian in Florence is a great way to both experience the wonders of Florence and to learn Italian. Schools that specialize in international students who want to learn Italian in Florence provide classes not only in Italian but other local things like culinary arts, painting, design, photography, etc. They also have activities that are organized for their students.

The accommodations at schools where you learn Italian in Florence are probably the most exciting aspect of the language schools. You will be able to live near the center of activity in the city of Florence. Most schools are within walking distance of downtown and other significant locations in Florence. Some schools have dormitories that students can use for living arrangements while they are in Florence. But other schools have several other exciting options like living with host families. A host family could be of just about any composition, older or younger couples, families, single people, etc. Living with a host family allows you to be surrounded by the Italian language even when you are away from school. Host families are very accommodating of both privacy and including you in their activities. They can show you around the city better than anyone.

You may decide to live in a shared flat or an individual flat. You can get a bit more privacy and be a bit more independent in a shared flat. You and other students will live together in a dormitory type setting with shared bathrooms and common areas. You can share your room with a roommate. The costs for a shared flat are much better than for an individual flat. An individual flat provides even more privacy and independence. You have all private accommodations and do not have to share with anyone else. With a flat you might miss out on a less touristy experience in while you learn Italian in Florence.

Living in a hotel apartment can be a bit pricier of an option but while you learn Italian in Florence you can also experience the energy of the city. These can accommodate one or two people and have all separate amenities such as kitchens, bathrooms, maid services, etc.
